New Work- Form, Function and Full Fall

New Work- Form, Function and Full Fall

New Work!

CLynch 2012

‘Form Ever Follows Function’ by Cat Lynch, cast tracing paper, thread and wax, 2012

Somehow managed to just barely finish my piece for Junctionview Studio’s Booby Show. The show/raffle/good-time begins October 6th at 8pm and runs until midnight. Not only will you be able to check out an entire show about boobies, you can feel morally superior about it as well as the event is a fundraiser to benefit breast cancer care and research.
Ta-tas and do-goodery, Huzzah!

Also been slowly, but surely working on getting my act together. The main problem to chronic overcommitment is that when something sidelines you for a few weeks (like, say, a vocally devastating plague) you realize just how few hours there are in the day to get anything done. Now that the Booby piece is done, I can focus on the Northam Park Museum, the October workshop at CMA (someone signed up!), my pieces for Open Door’s next two shows, the postcard collective Fall exchange and the Top Secret November Project (more to come). Oi.

The good news is that it’s fall in Ohio. So even though I’ve got a fairly full plate, there’s a chill in the air, sweaters and scarves have been unearthed and pumpkin everything is  everywhere. And it is good.
